  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 lb Lean Ground Beef
  • 1 medium Yellow Onion, finely chopped
  • 1 Green Bell Pepper, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 cup Ketchup
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • 2 tbsp Light Brown Sugar, packed
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Yellow Mustard
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
  • 6 Hamburger Buns, toasted

Instructions

  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet or Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add the chopped onion and bell pepper and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.

  • Add the lean ground beef to the skillet. Break it apart with a spoon and cook until it's fully browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain off any excess grease from the pan.
